Mil 200 corredores participaron en el primer Medio Maratón Tlajomulco-Cajititlán que se llevó a cabo el domingo 14 de septiembre. Los atletas dieron un recorrido panorámico desde la cabecera municipal hasta la laguna, donde fueron recibidos por la Banda San Miguel. El atleta Emmanuel Mnangat se convirtió en el primer ganador del medio maratón, con un tiempo de una hora 9 minutos. En la rama femenil, la ganadora fue Lilian Martita con un tiempo de una hora y 18 minutos.
