Con la finalidad de dar una mejor imagen al municipio y en respuesta a los reportes de la ciudadanía, el área de Servicios Públicos Municipales trabaja en la limpieza y embellecimiento de la avenida principal, el malecón y los ríos de la ciudad. La última semana de enero y primera de febrero comenzaron las acciones de limpieza en la rivera del río Pitillal. Además se han cortado los arbustos a lo largo del río.
