El pasado 27 de mayo se inauguró la primera etapa de las obras del malecón de Cuexcomatitlán, el cual fortalecerá la economía de la zona e impulsará el turismo en la ribera de la laguna de Cajititlán. De acuerdo a Ismael del Toro, el proyecto fortalecerá la llegada de visitantes del entorno del Cerro Viejo, la Ruta Franciscana y la Ribera en general. Durante el acto estuvo el diputado del Movimiento Ciudadano Salvador Zamora y el arquitecto Ricardo Agraz, responsable del diseño del nuevo malecón.
