Tlajomulco de Zúñiga sigue actuando con firmeza en el tema de las chatarreras. Por tal motivo se cuenta con un operativo permanente por parte de la Oficialía de Padrón y Licencias, con apoyo de la Dirección de Seguridad Pública y Protección Civil y Bomberos. Como resultado de estos operativos se han encontrado tuberías de cobre, calentadores de agua, puertas, ventanas, tapas de alcantarillas entre otros artículos robados, lo que ha provocado la clausura de uno de estos establecimientos.
