Manzanilla de la Paz fue sede del sexto Encuentro de Medicina Tradicional de Occidente que se llevó a cabo del 15 al 17 de marzo. Más de mil asistentes formaron parte de este encuentro que incluyó conferencias, exposición de herbarios, libros y talleres de medicina tradicional. El próximo año se espera que el municipio repita como sede del encuentro.
