La Comisión de Asuntos Metropolitanos del Congreso del Estado, presidida por el diputado de Movimiento Ciudadano, Salvador Zamora Zamora, aprobó el 25 de junio el dictamen que declara como Área Metropolitana a los municipios de Autlán de Navarro, El Grullo y El Limón, sentando precedente como la primera Área Metropolitana que se dictamina a favor en esta Legislatura y la segunda en la historia de Jalisco.
